If I was a famous author I would publish a book with ten different endings which all went to print with varying degrees of rarity, but not tell the fans about it so that I could watch their confusion as they disagree over how the story ended. Then when they figured it out I would ‘come clean’, telling them that I had released eleven alternate endings and watch them panic again as they all try to find the last ending.

T - Two Hearts with Changmin as the lead
R - Runaway with Yoochun as the lead
I - If… with Junsu as the lead
C - Close To You with Yunho as the lead
K - Keyword with Jaejoong as the lead.

Each were released weeks apart in Japan.

EDIT: I just listened to them all. AND HOOOOOLY CRAAPPP IT’S SO AWESOME
Keyword, despite being a ballad, is perfectly transitioned into TRICK, which has a more intense and upbeat feel to it. Same goes for Two Hearts, which is rather R&B style; it becomes the climax of TRICK. Junsu’s ‘If…’ is already upbeat, but becomes even more intense in TRICK. And, needless to say, Yunho’s rap in Close To You fit perfectly in TRICK. Finally, what is TRICK’s best part in my opinion (chorus), is inspired from Yoochun’s song, Runaway.
And here I was, thinking that SME’s idea of putting Clue+Note = Sherlock for SHINee’s album was brilliant. Please, this is pure and utter GOLD. These 5 songs are actually extremely legit and quality songs, and unlike Clue/Note, they don’t sound like they’ve been extracted from the main/mashup song.
I mean, I already found TRICK was a really good song.. But to learn that it’s actually a mashup? WOW.

like, they all mean really generic things like “love” or “forever” or “i’m sorry” 

i thought you could combine flowers

like you could just send someone a bouquet and from the combination of hibiscus and posies and tulips they’d understand “the rebel leader is dead, rendezvous at the docks at 8, bring the dog, you will need lighter fluid and  a large tomato”

There’s so much more to a song than lyrics and MVs. Paying attention to the lyrics doesn’t change anything and it definitely doesn’t make you better than anyone else. You don’t need to understand lyrics to appreciate a song.
